The Massena Electric Department is moving forward with the
next phase of a Global ReLeaf project. Superintendent Andrew J. McMahon said it sent out a request for proposal to install LED streetlights “as part of our commitment with the Global ReLeaf grant.” Those proposals have since been returned and are being reviewed by MED officials. “We have not gone through all of them yet to see which ones meet the specs and which ones don’t. By the end of this week we should be placing an order,” Deputy Superintendent Dale F. Raymo said.
