New LED lights are an efficient choice for city of Ogdensburg

City work crews are in the process of installing dozens of high-tech lights around the municipality that will save taxpayers thousands of dollars annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the community by roughly 15 tons, according to City Manager John M. Pinkerton. Mr. Pinkerton said municipal workers are partially finished with the lighting upgrade that eventually will see new LED lights installed near the Spring Street Bridge, the Paterson Street boat launch, along the 100 and 200 blocks of Paterson Street and along the Maple City Trail.
